Prof. Tarik Bourouina from ESIEE Paris visited Saitama University at the invitation of Prof. Alexandre Loukanov

Prof. Tarik Bourouina (ESIEE Paris, Université Paris-Est) and Prof. Loukanov (Saitama University) have met at the First International Conference on Nanotechnology: Theory & Applications, which was held in Cairo, Egypt during Dec 10-13, 2018. During the conference they have discussed the possibility for collaboration between the two universities in respect of students and academic exchange, as well as research activity. This idea was further commented among the faculty staff of Saitama University and the executives addressed a kind invitation to Prof. Bourouina for a short visit in Japan.
During his one-day visit Prof. Bourouina gave a lecture, entitled “Green Micromachines: MEMS and Nanomaterials for more Sustainable Environment and Smarter Cities”. After the lecture, Prof. Bourouina took a Lab tour, then the faculty members and vice president held working lunch and detailed discussion on international student exchange between ESIEE Paris and Saitama University as well as specific programs for collaboration funded by Erasmus and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
